Hello All,

Thank you for your quick response for my questions.I have couple more questions as mentioned below.

1. I am analyzing a model which is having bunch of connector elements like LINK and HINGE. Is there any method to visualize the motion of connectors in an assembly after running analysis?

2. May I know the couple of applications of using Planar constraints (The plane can rotate and expand, but all nodes on the face will remain in-plane- from ABAQUS Documentation)?

I would appreciate your explanation.

Kind regards,

You can visualize the connectors using View —> ODB Display Options —> Entity Display —> Show connectors but you won’t see any motion other than the motion of your model’s parts driven by connectors.

Planar connection is a combination of slide-plane (node remains on the plane defined by this node’s initial position and orientation of another node) and revolute (rotation about the direction normal to the plane is possible). If you need examples check „Crank mechanism” in Example Problems Guide.

Perfect. Thank you FEA Way.

Kind regards,
