Planes and direction

Is there a way to specify or flip the direction of a plane in swx? The reason I ask is I created a library feature that I place on a plane and extrude up to next (the feature is a simple, round boss). If I place the feature on the "top" plane I get an error (“Unable to create library feature with selected features”). If I create a new plane by rotating the top plane 180deg the library feature creates and I don't get the error. Any ideas?

mmakm,

This is from the SWx help documents regarding library features. Try toggling the RMB

Flip the sketch orientation during insertion of a library feature by clicking the direction arrow in the graphics area.

Inserting Library Features on a Plane

You can drag library features to a plane, or anywhere in the graphics area. If you drag a library feature to the graphics area, you are prompted to select a plane. You can also pre-select the plane.

To place a library feature on a plane, right-click the plane, and select Show, to select the plane before dragging the library feature from the Design Library. This enables you to select the plane border and the plane name when placing the library feature.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean that they aren't out to get me.

I've experienced the same thing with regard to the extrusion vector of a library feature - clicking the yellow direction vector does nothing.

On a similar note, has anyone seen issues when extruding up to a surface in a library feature? If I pick a planar face I'm OK, but I'm unable to pick a cylindrical face. I can edit the library feature after the fact, but that seems like a waste.

Any thoughts?
