Planes and Sketches everywhere

Hi all,
I'm relatively newer to inventor as far as experience goes. When I am creating multiple parts and I bring them into assemblies, I wind up with a lot of my sketches and work planes visible. Some times I am working with very large assemblies and it is very time consuming to hide each individually through the browser, especially if I'm working with sub-assemblies, mirrors, and patterns. I have noticed the global toggle View>Object Visibility>User work Planes/2D sketches. I use this very very often. I will toggle them off, but as soon as I create another plane or sketch, or if I want just one to be visible, they're all back and I have to repeat the process again.
Is there a setting I'm missing? Can I default them to hidden in the assembly? Is there another option or a workaround?
I am working in inventor 2014 and something like this seems like an unnecessary burden.
I appreciate any help or advice.

This is only temporary.

Why do you have unconsumed sketches (or if they are consumed why did you turn on visibility?
Why do you have visible workplanes?

(I have never experienced the issue you describe because I turn these off in the browser as I don't generally need to see them to use them.)

You might attach an example ipt file or small assembly example here.

There is a 0.99 cent add in the App Exchange store that would really help you if you do this a lot. I myself find a need for it here and there. I believe it is called Work Feature Visibility by Primatech(?). Essentially it will toggle the Visibility of the work feature instead of the entire application toggle to see them or not. Doesn't work for sketches though, that is a bad habit you might want to nip in the bud.
