Plant Layout

So i figured out that if i save an autocad plant layout to iges, and import it into inventor, it comes up in the construction folder, under "wires". It imported everything perfectly, except text. It even imported the cross hatch. These "wires" cant be mated to and are only reference. It is light weight, and very managable. Only problem is i cant get the lines to show up in an assembly. Anyone got a solution???
