Can anyone suggest about "How to find temperature rise during severe plastic deformation of a metal" say during torsion or any other deformation process ?

The area under the stress strain curve is an energy per unit volume. If you assume a perfectly plastic material and uniform deformation,

q = [σ][ε][sup]p[/sup]V

Also if it is adiabatic

q = mc[sub]p[/sub][Δ]T

If all the energy input is dissipate as heat

[Δ]T=[σ][ε][sup]p[/sup]/([ρ]c[sub]p[/sub])

If you have a less simple case, the idea is the same but it takes a little more work. Of course, as always watch the units.
