Hi everybody
I'm doing my research about the plastic shrinkage cracknig in flax fiber reinforced concrete and I need to know is there any standard method for unrestrained plastic shrinkage test setup .

thank you :)

Check with the Portland Cement Association and ACI. Predicting the actual location of plastic shrinkage crack occurrence will be a challenge. This phenomenon is best studied after it occurs with good environmental and materials data collected prior to its occurrence. You might measure surface shrinkage vs. time in lots of locations and then try to apply the generalized data to the occurrence of the plastic shrinkage cracks.

One other possibility is to use video to capture the occurrence in a controlled test bed with a visible, accurate scale to determine shrinkage by "markers" placed in the concrete. The video would then allow you to measure time, movement, and observe the occurrence.
