Plasticity of Till Materials

The glacial till showed some cohesion during handling at site with a natural moisture content of about 9%.

When an atterberg limit test was performed the result showed zero,suggesting that the soil is non-plastic.

Could a cohesive soil show a PL of zero? Thank you.

I guess you mean the Plasticity Index was zero.

Till often has fines that are essentially rock flour. Such well-graded materials to such fine size can show "cohesion" that may not hold up over time, being mostly related to capillarity.
