plate 6mm SA516 Gr70 can do Normalized or not?

dear all,

pls help me to slove this issued.
i had provide to my client one pcs plate SA 516M Gr70 with thickness 6mm not Normalized but my client ask me provide with Nomarlized.
my supplier had explaint that plate 6mm can not do Normalized but my client need docs to demonstrate .
pls help me.

Here is what SA 516 material specification states;

5. Heat Treatment
5.1 Plates 1.50 in. [40 mm] and under in thickness are
normally supplied in the as-rolled condition. The plates
may be ordered normalized or stress relieved, or both.


So, it would appear you can have either hot rolled or normalized/and/or stress relieved plate. What was ordered needs to be supplied.

When a supplier can't do something, it means is that they can't do it for the price you agreed to pay. And/or it can mean that they don't have the in-house capability and don't feel like subcontracting.

Yes. It means the plates can be ordered as either hot rolled, normalized or normalized and stress relieved. It depends on what you require for service.
