Hi all,
I am modelling elastic impact test of a rectangular plate/composite and I am just wondering on what is the appropriate way to look at the deflection of the plate. I know how to look at the displacement using the field output unique nodal, but there is another option in the field and history output requests which is contact displacement (CDISP). I did request this option but when I looked at the results, there was no output related to contact displacement. Also, there is no warning nor error messages related to CDISP. Does anyone have an idea on what contact displacement CDISP means and what does it represent?
Thanks,
Matt
