i have an oversize holes base plate..
i weld plate washer all around..
i notice in our company standard
even for 1.5" A bolt and 1.5" thick base plate..
the thickeness of plate washer is still 1/4"..

i was wondering how one design plate washer against
bending if column undertension.. and bearing of plate washer against bolt..

If the holes are standard AISC oversize then just use standard hardened washers. If the holes are way oversized then you have another problem. What are the hole sizes and the anchor bolt sizes?

See Table 14-2 of the 13th Ed. AISC manual for minimum recommended washer thicknesses to use with oversized anchor rod holes in baseplates.

Look at your standard closely. There is usually a disclaimer if the column is subject to tension.

We provide chairs if the uplift exceeds 40kips.
