Does anyone have any information on the types of PLC's and the Electronics within a Checkweighers used within say the food or drink industry.

Allen Bradley and Toledo Scale have a package in the Jaguar series that provides a straight interface from the scale to the PLC. They also have some "canned" applications for culling and marking product.
 
Siemens have a variety of PLCs which appear in their own weighing systems and those of other manufacturers.

The Simatic range is most prevalent.
