plexi glass structural properties

Does anyone have info on the structural properties of plexi glass?

You should contact the manufacturer. They would probablly have the best data.

Thanks wes616, but I don't know of any manufacturer. The design will be done before a mfr is chosen.

I also recommend you contact the manufacturer. If you don't have one chosen, dig in the phone book or the net and call around to a couple. It might be on the net somewhere anyway, have you "Googled" it?

I've googled it and managed to get a few results:
bending stress of 11 ksi,and a youngs modulus of 450ksi.

I've also contacted a few manufacturers, but no replies.

If you sound interested in a product, any sales rep should jump all over to get you the information you need.

Those values sound good to me...

Generic Values for Acrylic are

Sut = 10Ksi

Suc = 18Ksi

There are no engineers in the hottest parts of hell, because the existence of a 'hottest part' implies a temperature difference, and any marginally competent engineer would immediately use this to run a heat engine and make some other part of hell comfortably cool. This is obviously impossible.
