We regularly use .plt files and copy these files to our HP plotter. Now we need to turn some of these plot files back into drawings. The PLT2DWG does not work because these files are not HP-GL or HP-GL/2 format. How can these files be converted to HP-GL format, and also how can I set up a printer to print into HP-GL format for future PLT files? I did set up a generic printer using the HP-GL driver for Windows 2000, but when trying to plot from AutoCAD 2002, I get the error message "A StartDocPrinter call was not issued." Any ideas?

Hi,

please explain, why do You make *.plt-files, and re-import them back into the *.dwg?!?!
For HP-GL-files You need an (very) old Autodesk driver. I don't know where to find. Search in Autodesk-Online Help, and reply the name.
What kind of non-hp-gl-files do you have?
