I have NX1 and GTAC no longer gives us support for it.
Am having a hell of time figuring out what the plot
queue is, it is postscript...I would appreciate if anyone could give help with some advice.

Here's what we used to use....you'll have to make a queue for EACH paper size. The following is for 8.5x11 paper:

Despooler Name: UGIIPS
Plotter Vendor: POSTSCRIPT
Plotter Type: Pen
Number of Pens: 15
Plotter Model: HP
Plotter Switches: /AS/AR/SP=MW <- You'll have to refer to the docs for the switches you will require
Media Control: Continuous Form
Distance Between Plots: 0
Output Mode: Queue <- Whatever you need
System Queue Name: YOUR QUEUE NAME HERE
Tape Density: 1600
Steps Per Inch: 1440
Optimization Level: None
