PLotting Cavity Pressure in Abaqus 1

HI,
I curious about verifying that the pressure I have applied to a cavity or a hyperelastic material barrel is as prescribed during my step in Abaqus(simple ramp amplitude in explicit) (at time 0 Amp is 0, at time 1 amp is 1 = 0.017 MPa).
I have not defined any custom field/history output requests.

So far I have tried Tools in the visualization module>>XY Data>>Create?>>ODB Field Output>>VARIABLES, Element Nodal(Stress Components, tick Pressure) which plots pressure(actually stress) on the Y-axis vs time on the X-axis.

The magnitude of pressure plot begins at 0 at time 0, drop rapidly to a negative 0.2 and stays at at that pressure until the end of the step. Any ideas why I am seeing this result. I would have expected a positive slope up to a pressure of .017MPa?

To clarify - are you talking about "Fluid cavity pressure" boundary condition or just pressure load applied to the surface of the hole ?

Just pressure load applied to the surface of the hole(tube)

To simplify the task, how would I plot a pressure load vs step time on any surface in abaqus?

In such case you can request and plot the variable called P. It's available in field output requests under Forces/Reactions --> P, Pressure loads.

I'm trying to apply a periodic pressure load. I have created a simple amplitude which I can confirm is as I would expect it to be using the amplitude plotter. However, when I use the above method to verify the profile of the pressure load, I always get a linear ramp pressure profile?? Why is this?

Are you sure that this amplitude is selected in pressure load definition ? Double check that because it's a pretty common mistake.

I am sure. It's not that. Any other ideas?

Check the settings of field output frequency. You can use time interval option to specify that field output is saved every x units of time. If this doesn’t work please attach your model’s files (unless they are confidential of course).
