Hi,
Can somebody please help me with plotting from NX7 on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine? The printers and a plotter are correctly installed with the Printer Administration Utility, and I can PRINT in Drafting. But when I open the plotting menu, no printer appears, only the 5 standard file formats. On the other hand, - if I select the Advanced Plot option, the printers are there! I can even push the Print button, and a queued job is issued, but it never completes.

I suspect Windows 7 to put constraints on the printer directory, or may be the some of the printing software (SDI - CGM) does not work on 64 bit systems.

I also have excatly the same installation on a 32 bit computer, and it works fine.

Any hints out there?

Do you have updated printer drivers for Windows 7 64 bit?

Yes, both the printers and the plotter have updated drivers. I am also able to print, both from NX and from other Windows applications.

It is the Plot menu that doesn't work!

Enivronment Variable:

SDI_OVERRIDE_HOME C:\Program Files\UGS\NX 7.0\NXPLOT\bin

* Replace the above directory with the relative path to your installation.

That ended my problems. Thanks a lot.
