Hello - Just purchased a DJ 750C. The plotter prints a test page fine, but can't get it to pring a CAD 2005 drawing. It keeps trying to print to a plot file even though I don't have that option selected. Below is the error message:
File: C:\Engineering Files\McQuay\Drawing Files\SITE McQUAY.dwg
Category name:
Page setup:
Device name: DesignJet 750C Plus C4708B.pc3 - plotted to file
Plot file path: C:\Documents and Settings\Glenn\My Documents\SITE McQUAY-Page 3.PLT
Paper size: ARCH D (24.00 x 36.00 Inches)

ERROR: Invalid Plot Information

Any help is appreciated.

The plotter itself is probably aligned to Plot to File, even though ACAD is not. There should some way to reconfigure the plotter.

I have an HP, so the location & name of this are probably different. But for an HP, select Plot, Printer/plotter Properties, Custom Properties, Ports. Then, you can pick a Port, Plot to File, or AutoSpool. I'd bet yours says Plot to File. Pick a port, then you will probably have to align that port.
