We're about to upgrade from 2002 to 2005. We currently use named page setups to control all print/plot settings. I'm trying to find out if we're going to need to modify anything about our current print/plot procedure to accommodate the new Acad version. Has anyone encountered problems moving to 2005?

I do understand your concern with unforeseen problems re: installing a new version...

I'd be happy if someone were to post something useful in response to this query...pitfalls to look out for in something that is *contemplated* at this point of time...

However...

Please understand that such generalized 'anticipations' cannot be pre-emptive - I'd suggest yu install your *latest* version first - look at the available online help to solve any problems you encounter - try your best to solve them (some way is usually available) - and if THEN yu are not able to find a solution to a specific problem, post it on this forum with concisely stated requirements.

I hope yu will appreciate that what I am trying to underline here is that non-casual respondents to queries are serious workers - their time/effort in posting responses is no less valuable (an understatement!!) than that of people seeking help/solutions - the former need the latter more than the latter needs the former...

Hi All,

In ACAD 2005, printing drawing in batch mode has been changed. Batch mode is now being controled by "sheet manager". You would have to realign your plot setting using this system but manualling printing drawing have not changed. Hope this helps - John

On this same line i think -

I certainly dont understand the plotting as well as i'd like from a configuuring standpoint. But we've just loaded 2005 and i want to print out all layout sheet at once. I cant seem to find a way to do this. I've only been able to print one sheet at a time.

any help would be great

Thanks

Adam

I've looked into that. But all that seems to do is publish as a DWF file. I dont see any options for actually plotting to a printer.
