Hello all,
I have a simple model of a rectangular plate under uniaxial tension stress with a through-thickness central crack in the middle. I am trying to calculate the value of uniaxial stress at which the stress intensity factor K1 at the crack tip exceeds a certain value i.e. fracture toughness.
I believe I know how to calculate the stress intensity for a given uniaxial stress (in the Interaction module I went to the Special menu -> Crack -> Create.. , and then I created a History Output Request for the crack to output K1).
But is there a way I can plot the stress intensity factor as a function of the increasing stress? This way I can determine at which stress the K1 exceeds a specific value?
Thank you,
