PMI section view, with background view, to drafting sheet

I am working with a background view. I created a PMI section view and tried to insert it onto an NX drafting sheet. The section view is there..... but so is the whole background view..... It doesn't just inherit the PMI section view. Is there some trick to just showing the section view
(it is a section of both the background and "foreground" view) with only the relevant parts of the background view? TIA
