Hi all,

I am working on designing a pneumatic lift that feeds into a feed hopper. I have a very fine powder of iron oxide feeding into the pipe (pneumatic lift) and know the flow rate of how much powder I want delivered to the hopper ~4 lb/min, but am having trouble moving forward with the design of the lift. I need to figure out how much the flow of compressed air needs to be to deliver ~4 lb/min of material to the hopper. The lift will be around 20 feet in height.

-Flow rate of the compressed air
-Pressure supply of the pump

Any suggestions moving forward or literature I can be pointed to would be much appreciated.

Cheers.
