Hi, I'm new to valve engineering.

I wonder what kind of application pocketless seat ball valves are used for?

Is it the same as the so-called "cavity-filler seat"??

Hmm?

Pocketless ball valves are promoted commercially as better for fluids with partickles or any fluids that will give problems when drying or sticking to the surface.

If any valve (including the pocketless ball valve) is the technical best for any solution will depend on the quality, construction and (note!) the experiences and references for the equal application for both valves. Practical experience and references should weigh the most.

The valve world is vast, and other constructions for ball valves (double excentric excist) or other types of valves might be better depending on pressure, size, temperature and caractheristics of the fluid itself.
