Hello All,

While selecting a point is the setup of a distance measurement feature, the quickpick gives me the options:
- "existing point-point"
- "point"

When using "point" , the point is removed from the layer count.
I can still select the point change the layer, but it never shows up in the layer count.
After saving and reopening the part the point has disappeared completely.

Anyone an idea what's up?
Is this a bug or intentional?
What's the difference between "point" and "existing point-point" selection in quickpick

Thanx,
Ronny

btw. using NX 5.0.4.1

NX creates temporary points for the measure function. The point is erased after the distance has been calculated.
The existing point requires you to create a point and then do the measure.
If you don't need the point for anything other than the measure, then let NX create and erase the temporary one.

Hi Ben

Thanx for your reply.

In case I didn't make myself clear: I am talking about a " distance measurement" feature so it's a distance measurement with the associative option on.

I do define the point before making the measurement. The existing point seems to be deleted when using "point" ( although NX doesn't seem to realise this untill re-opening the part).
So what is the measurement assosiated with then if the point is deleted?

anyway, I now know to use the "existing point-point" option in quickpick but still I find this behavour strange.

regards,
Ronny
