I have a concrete deck which is subjected to point loads in Newton. I am running a simple static analysis. I was wondering if I were to add point mass/inertia, of say 100kg would this be somehow wrong in a static analysis? For example make it non static somehow. I ask because I only have experience adding loads in Newtons. I am interested in the section forces in the concrete deck.

This change of mass won't matter in the static analysis unless you apply a gravity load or rotational load such as centrifugal force.
