I am trying to import points from a .csv file. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this? These represent weld points for an assembly. Thanks.

There is a grip program for doing this called file2points.grx which was still part of the UG distribution as of NX-3. So if you have the grip executable part of UGOpen license then you're in luck. You may have to save your file with a .txt extension.

I found the solution. Insert->Welding->Import Welds. I needed to change some of the headers in the excel file for it to work. There was an example in the help file. I Don't understand why G.M. didn't export the .csv file with the correct headers unless they use a different program or method. I found nothing in the G.M. toolkit.

Yes that does work too. Good luck to you for finding that.

Knowing that you're working for GM probably implies that you have the license for that functionality, not included with some of the more basic bundles.
