Polar Array problem

I'm trying to make a polar array from an existing object, 17 objects at a little less than one degree apart.

DS will let me make the array just fine if I give a positive number for the angle, but unfortunately the base object is at the CCW end of where I want to place the array.

DS will not accept a negative number for the angle between objects; the numerical entry box goes pink and DS will proceed no further. ISTR that AutoCAD will accept a negative angle as a 'direction' command for polar arrays.

So, how do I tell DS to put the new objects in a CW direction from the existing object?

I think you must use Fill Angle and Total Number of Elements. This allows you to put in a negative Fill Angle. You can reuse the original element with a positive angle also. Sylvia

Yeah, I tried that, then ran into apparent truncation errors when trying to use decimal degrees.
DS, like SW, presupposes that you are going to do everything in the Gallic manner imagined by some programmer who doesn't know squat about making a drawing.
