Polarization vs. resonance

Due to fabrication constraints i can only make the antenna either resonant or circular polarized, not both.

- ISM band
- normal mode helical antenna
- used inside a vehicle cabin
- transmitter inside the engine bay

No idea about transmitter polarization, but it will output a very weak signal through a similar antenna - i.e. very small for the frequency.

Given the narrow bandwidth the NMHA has and the likely multi-path incoming waves are going to acquire, I am thinking it will be more important to have it (naturally) resonate for greater sensitivity rather than aim for circular polarization so as to pick up any incoming polarization.
I expect that any sort of polarization the transmitter might put out will reach the receiving antenna in enough polarization modes that the antenna, elliptical polarized, will pick it up anyway.

Is my thinking sound ?
