In the structural design of a long and slender metallic pole (of tubular section) it is necessary to consider the buckling due to own weight? ¿How?

Yes, it is a genuine failure mode, for some materials/systems.

In practice it will be incredibly sensitive to the rigidity of the footing, and the presence of side loads and imperfections.
