Pole slipping of synchronous machines

Hi all,
Just wondering whether synchronous machines can pole slip for 2 phase faults at all?can anyone help please?

It depends on what is the fault clearance time. If it is a bus fault which is cleared with in the system Critical Clearing Time (CCT, which could be as low as 100 ms), then pole slip may not occur.

The transient stability study report would give you a clue.
