Polyelectrolyte Viscosity

Does anyone know how to calculate or have an idea from experience what viscosity polyelectrolyte would be that would be used as a flocculant in potable water treatment. In this instance the polyelectrolyte is at a concentration of 2grams/litre.

Not sure what you are asking. Don't think that you should be concerned about viscosity.

Polymers are usually pumped neat from barrels through an activating and diluting system, before the polymer is introduced to the water treatment application.

After polymer dilution, the visocity should be more or less equivalent to water.

This seems like a rather high concentration.
 
Coagulants usually inject as neat solution/emulsion.
Flocculants usually need to be diluted. The concentration should be less than 0.5%.The dilution is done up to having a liquid with less than 1000 cp viscosity, but you need to check with your chemical producer and get the (apparent)viscosty curve.
