Can anyone tell me what national consensus code(s), if any, might state requirements for pressure/vacuum relief devices on poly bins? I work mostly with steel ASME code pressure vessels. The manufacturers of these bins normally do not even state the MAWP's. They are really only rated for atmospheric pressures. If they have vacuum and/or low pressure air streams piped into them, I believe that they need some protection but do not know which code applies. I am aware of NFPA 68, but if the substances are not explosive, then would NFPA 68 apply? Thanks.
