I am working on a non-living hinge between two plastic parts.
The hinge will get loaded in two directions perpendicular to the rotation axis and perpendicular to each other.
It should hold quite some force (ideally 100N) but still be able to "fail" gracefully so the parts can be reassembled...

Therefore i am looking at a pop hinge.

However i have not been able to find any design guides for pop hinges.
Am I on the wrong track or do you guys have any ideas or resources on this?

Thanks for reading
Best regards
Morten

If by "pop hinge", you mean a snap fitted hinge, the attached file is a brief design guide with useful formulae to arrive at what you need. Although it's mainly "standard snaps", the same principles apply - just longer in one plane.
