which measuring device do you suggest for detection of pores in cast steels? It should be easy to use one for manufacturing application.

Thank you

Are you looking for surface or subsurface indications? A visual surface inspection is the most basic method. Radiography is used in the sampling process and when required by code or customer requirements.

If you are talking about rough as-cast surfaces it is difficult. But if they are smoother or semi-finished they Dye Pen works well. And you can use a low sensitivity version to reduce false indications. This will only find flaws that are open to the surface, but will also leave indications for chunks of burned in sand.
