Dear sirs,

In a radial system of 33 kV line feed a substation which in turn is fed through substation to turn to 11 kV. Then three 11 kV feeders come out which in total are of 16 kms. I am looking at numbers and locations to put sectionalizer so that faulty section can be isolated in case of fault, and reliability can be achieved. As per my knowledge, it is kept in radial line.

Please can somebody help me with how to position numbers of sectionalizer?

regards,

You going to try to open the sectionalizer during recloser trip with a counter?
Or are you going to use a breaker as a sectionalizer to interrupt fault current?

Any reclosers on the system at all? Or just fused protection?
Topography? One lines...
Sectionalizers can be used in loop feeds also and are great for things like self healing schemes.

Some more detail would help.
