Hey,
The Suction energy equation is set for the Centrifugal pumps. But does anyone know the proper way to calculate the suction energy of a pump that has twin screws/gears? The suction energy is actually the liquid momentum in the imperllor but the way that the pump is designed there is no real impellor just two twin screws. API has standards of NPSHa divided by the NPSHr, (The Ratio), for High suction energy, Low suction energy and Very high suction energy pumps. So I would first need to be able to calculate the suction energy for this type of pump. Does anyone know of any good leads? Thanks for all of the help.
