Post-tension Beam effect on columns

Hi everyone. Most of the references that I have read analyze a post-tensioned beams by assuming a pinned support. However, In reality PT beams are supported by columns. Lets say I have a PT beam supported by a 2 column frame. I believe that the PT force will cause the columns to experience a significant moment at the beam-column joint, because the column will have to restrain the beam against the PT force. Am I missing something? cause I have never seen taken into consideration in book that I have read.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The PT force is internal to the beam, not applied to the column. Now there is a shortening component due to the PT force, but there is an even greater shortening component due to drying shrinkage. The shortening does then affect the columns. How much affect depends on the column stiffness.
 
There will be secondary (parasitic) moments, as well as the shortening effects you mentioned, for continuous or integral structures.
