Gentlemen and Ladies,

This question has probably been answered in this forum before.

I am drafting exhibits for the QA manual in a new ASME CODE SHOP fabricating Section VIII vessels.

The Document lining out the procedure you want the PWHT company to follow. Temp, Ramp up sequence Hold Cool down Rates. I just need a little guidance.

I thank you in advance for any information or documents.

The PWHT company would submit a procedure for your review and approval.
That procedure would be based on manufacturing codes (like ASME Sec VIII Div 1) and your Quality assurance manual where the latter would hold supreme in the sense that it would not contradict the code of construction but provide additional checks and measures.

Now, if you are drafting one such QA manual, then you need to add the above. Also keep in mind that your manual would aid your Inspector or the third party inspector to carry out inspection at the PWHT company.

Best of luck.
