We are now introducing NX6 for our Mazak FH4800 with Fanuc controller. We want to use full-diameter cutcom on last path for some operations. However some damage part-drive-contour. For engage there is :
G1 G41 X-- Y--
For retract however there is:
G40 D00
G1 X-- Y--, can these two moves be lines into one line?

Thanks, Bert

Yes they can.

You may need to remove the G40 block from the Cutcom off event in Post Builder. This will output it on a seperate line.

Make sure the linear motion has the cutcom block (G41,G42,G40)

Add the G40 block to your rapid motion also

Hi John, that is actually almost how I started, but if G41/42 [cutcom left/right] appears with the same tool in two subsequent operations, the seconde time [or more] the D-value [D06 for example] does not appear. But it is needed every G41!

Any more helpful tips, Bert?

Thanks for all good help and tips, I made a custom command [force once D] and added this to cutcom-on event.
This after contact with our local Siemens technician.

Kind Regards, Bert
