postprocessing

Hi, My problem is that I am dealing with solid composite secions whose output (eg stress/strain) cannot be viewed using the visualization module of ABAQUS. Am I corect in saying that i need a postprocessor program so that I can, for example, create a .fil file in ABAQUS and then open it in this postprocessor?
