hi
i need to know whats the meaning of class ( 6p ) that i found in the name plate of a potential transformer of two secondary windings ( first coil class is 0.5 ) and the pt is made in China.
where could i find any detailed information about this please
thank you

It is an IEC-rating
See:

Download chapter 6 (Current and voltage transformers)
Table 6.1 for the limits of measuring VTs
Table 6.2 for the limits of protective VTs

or refer to the IEC-standard:
IEC60044-2

Hi,
The first coil/core (0.5 class) of your PT is for metering pupose, and the second one, 6p, is for protection (residual voltage /open delta) purpose.

The standard accuracy classes for protective voltage transformers are 3p and 6p.
First letter indicates %voltage (ratio) error and phase displacement error.

As per IEC-44-2, the voltage error and the phase displacement error at rated frequency shall not exceed followong values at 5% of rated voltage.

at 2 % of rated value, the limits of error & phase dsplacement (with burdens of between 25%-100%) will be twice as high as those given below.

Accuracy class % voltage errot Ph displacement error.
3P 3 120min or 2deg
6p 6 240min or 4deg
