Hi,

I have recently come across fromt the RF Engineering field into digital electronics, and I need to look into power supply design for a project. Can anyone point me towards any useful resources on the internet showing theory, example circuits etc.

Thanks

Thanks for the response hrc. What I am looking at is a reasonably simple variable voltage / variable current dc bench type power supply running off 240Vac mains, so that I can get my head around the basic design before moving on to more sophisticated designs.

By all means go to the sites hrc suggested and check their application notes on power supplies. You will find schematics for all types of supplies.

National has their "work bench" dig into that and it will generate schematics with full parts lists for you.

Have a look at the link in thread238-119812. Obviously biased toward their own products, but plenty of useful stuff that applies to any power electronics design.
