I have a synchronous generator (50Hz, H=8 MJ/MVA), delivering active power of 1pu to an infinite bus at V=1pu through two 100-km TL lines with reactances of XL=XL2=0.5pu. The transient reactance of the generator is X'd = 0.2pu and the internal transient voltage E'=1.4pu. The transformer reactances is XT=0.1pu.

I've to plot the power angle curve and determine the rotor angle.

There is also added questions when a fault occurs. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to look/any similar examples?

Thanks in advance

Also check the faqs for this forum. There are some power quality faqs that may help.

That has the smell of coursework. The numbers are too convenient.

Bill's link to the FAQ is a good place to start.

cmunda200 (Electrical),
This forum may not give you a good guidance on this. The way forward would be to refer some good text books as waross (Electrical) has indicated.
