Pre-stress/Pre-tension

Hi guys,

I am trying to create a tensegrity structure with pre-stress/pre-tension on the cables. I am wondering whether there is an element type in Abaqus such that I could assign pre-stress/pre-tension on (like the SPAR element in ANSYS). Many thanks.

What is a tensegrity structure? One way to assign pretension is to define a bolt section. It is not defined by element type, but by defining the section across which the tension will act.
