We are constructing a tower using quality fair faced precast concrete facades with insitu floors. Do any of the members have experience in protecting the facades from grout runs etc from the upper floors.

Any method needs to be low tech and removable easily up on completion of the job.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have had similar problems with face brick buildings with in situ concrete floors. Usually the contractor tries to protect the brickwork with plastic sheets (that's pretty low tech) and then any bits missed just get cleaned up immediately after concreting (even lower tech - person with a brush and bucket of water). The key thing is to clean off immediately after the event and that may be easier than inventing a fancy protection system. Carl Bauer

Thanks for the advice Carl. It is helpful to know that the problem is not new.
