Dear all,

i am working in Geo-technical model, it is construction of retaining wall, the analysis will be conducted on several steps, the first step is geostatic step, i do not have any problem in that step, the second step is remove some elements, i know how to do it with *Model Change option, the last step in my model is replacement of the soil with concrete. I do not know how to do it.

In Abaqus manual, i read the Predefined field variable- section 33.6.1, it gives an idea about how to change the Modulus of Elasticity from an initial value 30E6 to a final value 35E6 during the analysis. This is what the manual said.
"Define an initial condition to specify the initial value of field variable 1 as 1.0 for a node set. Then, define a predefined field variable in the analysis step to specify the value of field variable 1 as 2.0 for the node set. Young's modulus will vary smoothly over the course of the step as the field variable's value is ramped from 1.0 to 2.0 at all nodes in the node set".

Can any one of the advanced users make a very simple model under tension with a few elements and set it to me. so i can learn how to do it.
Thanks
Simon
