Dear Sir/Madam :

Can you please suggest that it is suitable or not for our prepolycondensation resin reactor installed the anchor(bottom) + 2 layer of disk-turbine impellers ?

The prepolycondensation resin reactor is operated at the vacuum condition from 2000mmH2O to 1 torr around 270C to separated the Ethylene glycol small molecular from the reactor top vent line to 1st & 2nd condenser.

Since our previous reactor design is the helical ribbon with jacket type, but with the degree of vacuum increase, the by-product of the ethylene glycol vapor molecular's devolatilization rate would be less which is devolitaized through reactor top vent.

Therefore, we plan to add the internal coil round 4 layer and replace the helical ribbon with disk turbine + anchor to increase heat transfer.

The chemical reaction :

The reaction rate constant and the devolatilization rate constant wound increase less after the degree of vacuum increase.

I wonder this agitation arrangement ( anchor+ 2 layer of disk-turbine impellers) suitable for this reaction can really increase surface renewal rate and increase mass & heat transfer rate to increase the degree of polymerization ?

And, is possible to add the liquid phase of the ethyl glycol spray device at the 2nd condenser located at the top of the prepolycondensation resin reactor ?

I would appreciate for any advice.
Thank you
