Hello,
I am looking for a formula to determine how much force is required to press an obect(ie dowel pin) into a hole. I came across one some time ago, but now I cannot find it. I remember vaguely having to use the surface area of the object, coefficient of friction for the material and the ammount of engagement. If anyone has this please share.
