Hello Everybody,

Please, I’d need some help from somebody

Question may seem odd, but I have not found any literature reference neither past post has been useful.
I have to calculate the pressure drop of a flux of water steam that condenses and becomes liquid water and a flux of water that evaporates in steam.
Can anybody of you suggest me any simple formula to utilize or any useful link ?

Many thanks

You will have to describe your system in a bit more detail than that before you get any meaningful replies.

Sorry Mr. Katamar,

I'll try to be more precise:
in the system there are
- a first part where stem goes into a tube, exchanges heat and becames water.
I need to calculate the pressure drop in this first part
- in the second part, the water goes into a second tube, it is heated and therefore becomes steam.
I need to calculate the pressure drop in this second part.
All data concerning temperatures and mass flows are known.
What I am looking for is a formula to calculate the pressure drop in these two parts.

Hope this helps

There is no such thing as a simple formula. You have to do pressure drop under different nodes, one the liquid and one the gas. There will also be the little issue of volume reduction when it condenses. As well, the explanation is somewhat vague, as you cannot vaporize again without isolating the systems somewhat or you'll risk a backpressure issue.
You might want to start trying to post a schematic of your system and taking a dive into Bernoulli's equation
