Hi!
I need to know how to equilize the pressure between two sources of pressure. Sorce A and B is pressurized up to 60 psi. Source B is then utilized and the pressure drops to 55 psi.and then brought up to 60 psi again. Souce A is not used in the process and the pressure does not drop-but stays at 60 psi. I need to have the pressure go down in source A to follow the presure drop in source B--IE: would like to equilize them. I am working with gases and they must not mix. My question is --Is there in equalizer valve that can do this? Excuse my ignorance -I know nothing about valves-so can anyone help --I sure would appreciate any suggestions

For a pressure drop, product or gas must flow anywhere. If source A is not use in the process any valve you install would free product I don't know where.
An idea would be an expansion vessel connected in both sides of membrane to both sources simultameously.

You need a differential valve, that will read the pressure on one side, and move so as to control the pressure on the other side.

We used to use these type of valves in two element boiler feedwater control valves when the boiler pressure was constantly changing. The differential valve sensed the boiler pressure side, and changed so as to maintain a constant (preset) differential pressure across the feedwater regulator so that it would pass just the amount of flow it was supposed to pass for a given valve position.

Now, if you can take that concept, and find a valve to regulate your process and the flows required to accomplish it, good luck.

How about opening a control valve on source A taking control from a pressure transmitter at source B?

Actually I should have meant a differential pressure transmitter across both vessels and a control valve on vessel A.
