Hello,

I was wondering if any one know a reference which could provide information about "Pressure relief Well design".

In my case, I got the pumping rate which is 500 gallons per day.

I am not sure how to compare this flow value against Well diameter, I am not sure if there is any correlation. I planned to use 6 in diameter well, but I picked that value just from previous experience.

Please let me know.

Also "Groundwater and Wells" published and sold by Johnson Screens

500 gpd isn't much, about a third of a gallon per minute. Depends on the soil, of course, but a 6" well should be more than adequate. 2" would probably suffice, but the choice of pumps would be limited. 4" should be fine.
